Install guide

Installing Fast Response on your website

It's one line of code - about two minutes. You or whoever manages your site can paste it in; we never need access to your website login or hosting.

Step 1 - Your snippet

We'll email you a snippet with your details already filled in. It looks like this:

<script id="fast-response-lead-widget-script" src="https://getfastresponse.com/fast-response-widget.js" data-contractor-id="your-business" data-business-name="Your Business Name" data-webhook-url="https://getfastresponse.com/api/leads" data-tab-label="Get a Fast Response" data-accent-color="#FF5A1F" data-privacy-url="https://getfastresponse.com/privacy.html"></script>

Copy the whole thing, then find your website platform below.

Step 2 - Paste it into your site

Every website builder has a spot for adding custom code that loads on every page. Here's where it lives on common platforms.

Squarespace Business plan or higher

  1. Open your site and go to Settings -> Advanced -> Code Injection (search "Code Injection" in settings if you don't see it).
  2. Paste your snippet into the Footer box.
  3. Click Save.

WordPress

  1. In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins -> Add New.
  2. Search for WPCode (or "Insert Headers and Footers"), then install and activate it.
  3. Go to Code Snippets -> Header & Footer.
  4. Paste your snippet into the Footer box and click Save Changes.

Some themes also have a built-in "custom scripts" or "footer code" field under Appearance or Theme Options - that works too.

Wix Premium plan + connected domain

  1. Go to your Wix Dashboard -> Settings.
  2. Under Advanced, open Custom Code.
  3. Click + Add Custom Code and paste your snippet.
  4. Set Add Code to Pages -> All pages, and Place Code in -> Body - end.
  5. Click Apply.

GoDaddy

  1. If your site runs on WordPress through GoDaddy, follow the WordPress steps above.
  2. If you're on GoDaddy's Website Builder (Websites + Marketing), its custom-code options are limited - reply to us and we'll find the best spot with you, or add it to an HTML/embed section.

Another platform / not sure

  1. Look in your site settings for anything called Custom Code, Header/Footer Scripts, Code Injection, or Embed Code.
  2. Paste the snippet so it loads on every page, just before the closing </body> tag if it asks.
  3. Not sure what you're on? Forward your snippet to whoever built or manages your site, or reply to us and we'll take a look.
Rather do it together? Book a 5-minute screen-share and we'll walk you through it live. You share your screen and click along, so you stay in control and we never touch a password.

Step 3 - Confirm it's live

  1. Open your website in a new browser tab.
  2. You should see a "Get a Fast Response" button in the lower-right corner of the screen, or a full-width bar along the bottom on phones.
  3. Let us know it's up and we'll send a test lead through to make sure it reaches your phone.
You can remove Fast Response anytime by deleting the snippet. Questions or stuck anywhere? Email getfastresponse.co@gmail.com and we'll sort it out.
